Quality Engineer (Civil)

Role Summary:
The Quality Engineer – Civil is responsible for supporting QA/QC activities for civil works related to substation buildings, high-speed rail, and railway electrification projects. The role ensures that all construction activities comply with approved drawings, contractual specifications, and applicable quality standards through regular inspections, documentation, and coordination with site teams.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP) at site for civil works.
- Conduct quality inspections for substation buildings, road works, and related civil infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable IS/IRC standards.
- Witness and verify material and field tests including concrete, soil, and compaction tests.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation such as IRs, NCRs, MARs, and test reports.
- Coordinate with construction teams, clients, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies.
- Support internal and external quality audits and assist in implementation of corrective actions.
Skills / Knowledge:
1. Strong understanding of QA/QC processes in civil construction.
2. Familiarity with relevant IS/IRC codes and standards.
3. Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documents.
4. Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation systems.
5. Good communication and coordination skills.
Education Qualification:
B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering
