Role Summary:
The Section Incharge (MVLV/ME) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing MVLV/ME works for the assigned project section (approx. 75+ km) to achieve contractual milestones. The role includes design review, resource management, progress monitoring, interface management, client coordination, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards while maintaining proper documentation and resolving site issues.
Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate execution of MV/LV/ME works within the assigned section, including GIS/AIS substations and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Supervise installation and commissioning of transformers, HT/LT panels, SCADA/RTU systems, DG sets, battery systems, and compact substations.
• Monitor EHV/MV cable laying, LT cabling, jointing, and termination activities within the section.
• Ensure proper execution of illumination systems, HVAC systems, fire detection systems, access control systems, and related installations.
• Oversee execution of earthing grids, lightning protection systems, cable trays, and overhead MV/LV cable works.
• Coordinate with EDRC, SCM, and other departments for availability of drawings, materials, and technical clarifications.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure execution as per approved schedules and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and project timelines.
Skills / Knowledge:
Installation, testing, and commissioning of 66kV/132kV/220kV GIS & AIS substations and 11kV/22kV/33kV distribution substations. Skilled in installing transformers, HT/LT panels, SCADA systems, DG sets, cable laying for EHV/MV/LT networks, and jointing works. Proficient in illumination systems, fire detection & gas flooding systems, HVAC (VRF/VRV), access control, PIDS, EOT cranes, and PHE works. Experienced in cable tray installation, grid earthing using exothermic welding, lightning protection systems, and overhead MV/LV cable laying on viaducts using mechanized equipment
Education Qualification:
B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
